                                                                             The Heart of Virginia Sale

           We are excited to be hosting this inaugural sale in the Heart of Virginia. It will be a pleasure to meet and greet each of you. I hope everyone will enjoy their visit to Historic Virginia. This sale is also being used as a platform for the longhorn breeders in Eastern United States to showcase their breeding programs. Every Breeder that consigns cattle to this sale will be given an opportunity to briefly discuss their consignments and their breeding program as the cattle are brought into the sale ring.

           All consignments must be received on or before April 16, 2011. The cost for consignments are $175 per head or $400 for 3 head plus a 5% yard fee. If you consign 3 head for $400 then your cattle will be in a separate pen together and you can bring other cattle to put in your pen with your consignment cattle to help showcase your program. You will be encouraged to private treaty sale any and all of your cattle as you choose. Only consignment cattle will be sold at auction. All of your consignments will be brought into the sale ring at one time and you can bring any other cattle you choose to help showcase your program. You will have the opportunity to briefly discuss your program and your consignment cattle that are in the sale ring. Commercial cattle will incur a 10% yard fee.  

           All consignments must have a registration transfer form for the TLBAA and one for the ITLA with the Registration. Purchaser will be responsible to register cattle they purchase with the organization of their choice. Cattle will be sold in the order that consignments are received.

           I hope this will make for an exciting and informative sale. This is a new format that we are trying and we hope you will support us in this endeavor. After the sale there will be a survey form for your input on the sale. We hope everyone has a great time, makes money on your consignments and purchase cattle that will better your program.
